Wilfred Ndidi will return to action after nearly two months on the sideline with a hamstring injury, and will feature for Nigeria against Czech Republic.
Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye confirmed, in a telephone interview with Babafemi Raji on Brila FM, that Ndidi will be the first name on the list against the Europeans.
The midfielder missed both of Nigeria’s pre-world cup warm up games against DR Congo and England; albeit he was named on the bench against the Three Lions, as he continued his recuperation from a hamstring injury.
Ndidi copped the sprain while on duty for his English Premier League side, Leicester City last season and has since been on a fitness recovery regime.
Ibitoye also stated the young midfielder was involved in the Super Eagles training session on Tuesday.
‘Ndidi has commenced full training and is good to go. Gernot Rohr has confirmed he’ll start Today. So, if there’s one player you are certain to see in the list, it is Ndidi.’
